Out Teach Summer STEM Survival Camp

Dates and Times

The next available session begins July 13th.  All sessions include daily morning and afternoon group meetings with the master teacher and student-led activities in between.  Link to registration for available weeks below.

Eastern time — 9:30am – 11am,  and 1pm – 2:30pm
Central time — 8:30am – 10am,  noon- 1:30pm

Sessions are $200 per student.  $10 per student discounts available for siblings, friends, and multi-week registrations, so get a group together!  You’ll all connect virtually for planning and collaboration, and then gather safely outdoors to work on engaging explorations and exciting engineering projects.  Click the session you want below to register now.

STEM Survival Camp Sample Daily Schedules

9:30 – 11:00 AM Virtual Group Meeting (AM) 
Teacher introduces the day’s challenge question and the next phase of the STEM design process
 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Independent Exploration and Design Time 
Students test  possible solutions to their chosen challenge
 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM Virtual Group Meeting (PM) 
All Teams gather to share observations
Teacher provides feedback and guidance and sets up tasks and goals for the next day.

Out Teach, formerly REAL School Gardens, provides professional development for elementary school teachers. Out Teach prepares them to use school gardens, outdoor classrooms, and green schoolyards to improve instruction through three-dimensional project-based learning, and outdoor experiential inquiry-based education. Professional learning with Out Teach improves hands-on science and STEM education through instructional coaching and digital education resources and improves 21st Century skills.
