Out Teach Summer STEM Survival Camp
Dates and Times
Session A: Virtual Group Meetings 8:30am – 9:30am ET and 2pm – 3pm ET
Session B: Virtual Group Meetings 9:30am – 10:30am ET and 3pm – 4pm ET
All sessions include a daily small group meeting with the master teacher and student-led activities in between AM and PM full group meetings. Click on a session below to register.
Sessions are $200 per student. $10 per student discounts available for siblings, friends, and multi-week registrations, so get a group together! You’ll all connect virtually for planning and collaboration, and then gather safely outdoors to work on engaging explorations and exciting engineering projects. |8:30||Virtual Group Meeting (AM) —
Teacher introduces the day’s challenge question and the next phase of the STEM design process
|9:30||Independent Exploration and Design Time (AM) —
Students try (and often fail) on their own to gather information
|11:00||Think Tank Team Collaborations —
Project Teams meet with teacher to discuss specific challenges
|12:00||Working Lunch –
After eating, students post and provide feedback to one another’s ideas on FlipGrid
|1:00||Independent Exploration and Design Time (PM) —
Students process their own experiences with group feedback to try (and often fail) again to work towards a solution.
|2:30||Virtual Group Meeting (PM) –
All Teams gather to share observations
Teacher provides guidance and sets up tasks and goals to tackle before the next day.
|3:30||Project Team Regroup
Students post findings for peer feedback on Flipgrid
