So many people in our country are suffering right now and many have been for a long time. To our partner school communities – the students and their families; the teachers, principals, district leaders and their families – Out Teach stands beside you, ready to listen, and prepared to hold you up if/when you need it.
We recognize that the murder of George Floyd, and many Black Americans before him, shines a bright light on long-held structures, systems, and attitudes that create inequities, exhaust us, and hold our country back from its promise. As individuals and as organizations, we must bring all that we can, every day, to help create the monumental changes necessary to move us forward.
What Out Teach offers is an unwavering commitment to equity in education, as a means to substantial, long-term change. We also bring a steadfast belief that education inspires and empowers people to transform their lives in ways that they chose. Education is a tool for self-determination and can unlock the greatest potential in all of us.
