Take math and science outdoors with ready-to-use experiences and support.
Join the Out Teach Seed Pack Pioneer Cohort for educators teaching math, science, or STEM in grades 3–5.
Receive four standards-aligned outdoor learning experiences, student and teacher resources, and two virtual group sessions to help you put them into practice. Give students opportunities to investigate the world firsthand while building grade-level math and science skills.
Applications close January 31, 2027. No cost to participate.
What you’ll receive:
- Four downloadable Seed Pack Lessons: Ready-to-use, hands-on outdoor investigations that connect classroom learning to the real world.
- Student and teacher resources: Data collection sheets, implementation guidance, and reflection tools.
- Two virtual group sessions with fellow cohort educators: Prepare for implementation, share classroom experiences, and explore ways to extend student learning.
- A Seed Pack Pioneer certificate: Recognition of your participation in the cohort.

You’ll join a national cohort of educators bringing real-world learning outdoors. Through the (two) virtual sessions, you’ll prepare to use the lessons and resources and exchange ideas about what’s working with your students, including ways to extend their learning. As a participant in both sessions, you'll also receive an official Seed Pack Pioneer Certificate.

Who can participate?
Educators who teach math, science, or STEM to students in grades 3–5 are eligible to apply.
When does the cohort take place?
The cohort includes a one-hour preparation session in March 2027 and a one-hour support session in April 2027. Exact dates will be announced.
What is the time commitment?
The two cohort sessions total two hours. Educators must attend both sessions to receive the Seed Pack Pioneers Certificate.
What materials and outdoor space will I need?
The four Seed Pack lessons and accompanying resources are available to download. Lessons are designed to be taught in any outdoor space.
Is there a cost to participate?
No. Participation is free.
What happens after I apply?
Selected educators will be notified in February 2027.
